Hi, I am Ali, a qualified naturopath passionate about the science of natural medicine and helping my clients achieve holistic balance. I specialise in children.
I qualified with the Bachelor of Natural Medicine and am also a registered nurse, medical herbalist and reiki healer.
Recently I have been working at the Holistic Medical Centre Ponsonby (Integrative practice). I am a director of Holistic Skin Clinic which opened in May 2022. I work alongside Gina Wilson who is a naturopath specialising in child health. I am undertaking training in Mayan (abdominal massage) spiritual healing to assist with women's health and aid fertility.
I spent many years working with babies, children and their families in preventive care and child development as well as working in a cancer institute in Melbourne, Australia.
When working in conventional medicine I was aware of little emphasis on prevention rather than cure. Doctors are trained to treat disease not imbalance.
There are underlying causes of illness such as stress, diet, toxins and environmental factors that allow sickness to occur. After seeing many deaths and illnesses come through the hospital I wanted to explore other options of healthcare and my research led me to study natural medicine.
I soon recognised that there was a whole world of effective medicine that people didn’t know about. You don’t have to wait for illness to occur and take medications to suppress it.
Today I help people overcome their health complaints in my practice. It is the most rewarding and fulfilling thing to be able to help clients reclaim their health and feel great. I believe that good health is essential to living a long happy life and I believe that everyone has the right to be empowered and educated about their health so they can choose to make the right choices.
I love the great outdoors, nature and plants. I play badminton, yoga, cycle and swim in the ocean as much as possible. I love creating in the kitchen and spending time with my family and dog.
